Hillary Clinton Volunteers to Teach Trump the Art of Erasing Evidence

A recent leak of President Donald Trump’s military plans has sparked an unexpected offer from an old political rival.

Earlier this week, The Atlantic’s editor-in-chief Jeffrey Goldberg revealed he was accidentally added to a Signal group chat where top Trump officials, including Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, discussed airstrikes on Yemen’s Houthi rebels.

The chat, which included operational details shared hours before the bombs dropped, exposed a stunning breach of security that left the administration scrambling.

Now, Hillary Clinton has reportedly stepped into the fray with a surprising proposal. According to a leaked text message obtained by The Washington Wick, Clinton reached out to Trump directly with an offer to teach him how to erase messages he’d rather keep under wraps.

The text, accidentally forwarded to the outlet by Hegseth himself, read, “Don, I’ve got years of experience making things disappear—emails, servers, people, you name it. Happy to give you a crash course if you’re tired of amateurs leaking your stuff.”

During Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign, she faced intense scrutiny for using a private email server as Secretary of State, a saga that included the deletion of thousands of messages she deemed personal. That controversy dogged her all the way to Election Day, where Trump capitalized on it to secure his first term.

Clinton’s outreach comes as Democrats pounce on the Signal leak to criticize Trump’s team. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer called it “one of the most stunning breaches of military intelligence” he’d ever seen, while others demanded resignations.

Yet, Clinton’s text suggests she sees an opportunity to flex her own expertise in damage control.

Hegseth, who reportedly sent the incriminating war plans to Goldberg, confirmed the leak of Clinton’s message to The Washington Wick with a shrug.

“Yeah, I forwarded it—figured the boss could use a laugh,” he said. “She’s got a point, though; we could use some pointers after this mess.”

Trump’s response to the offer remains unclear, though he dismissed the original leak as overblown. Speaking to reporters on Monday, he claimed, “I don’t know anything about it. The Atlantic’s a failing rag anyway.”

Sources close to the president say he’s unlikely to take Clinton up on her tutoring, given their decades-long feud.

The leaked Signal chat has already drawn comparisons to Clinton’s email scandal, with critics noting the hypocrisy of Trump officials who once slammed her for mishandling sensitive information.

Clinton hasn’t commented publicly on the leaked text, but her allies say she’s enjoying the moment.

“Hillary’s been through the wringer and come out the other side,” said a longtime aide. “She knows a thing or two about cleaning up a mess—Trump could do worse than listen.”
